These Terms govern your access to and use of Moovfast — the multi-tenant dispatch platform operated by Moovfast Technologies. By creating an account, registering a company, riding under a registered operator, or booking a trip through any Moovfast-powered app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Definitions
- Platform — the Moovfast software, websites, mobile apps, APIs, and marketplace.
- Operator — a dispatch or logistics business registered on Moovfast.
- Rider — a driver or rider onboarded by an Operator to fulfill trips.
- Customer — an end user who books a trip through an Operator app or the Moovfast marketplace.
- Trip — a single delivery, courier run, or ride request from pickup to drop-off.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old and legally able to enter a binding contract in your country. Operators must be legally registered businesses in good standing. Riders must hold valid licences and vehicle documents for the work they perform.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@moovfast.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. The Moovfast role
Moovfast provides the software infrastructure that lets Operators run a dispatch business. Moovfast is not a logistics company. Moovfast does not employ riders, does not own vehicles, and is not a party to the trip contract between Customer and Operator. Trips are arranged and fulfilled by the Operator, not by Moovfast.
5. Operator obligations
- Hold all licences and permits required to operate a dispatch business in your jurisdiction.
- Vet, train, and supervise your riders.
- Honour the fares, zones, and service terms you publish on the platform.
- Pay Moovfast subscription fees, marketplace commissions, and any applicable payment-processing charges on time.
- Resolve customer complaints related to trips you fulfilled.
- Comply with tax, labour, insurance, and consumer-protection law in every jurisdiction you operate in.
6. Rider obligations
- Hold a valid licence, vehicle registration, and insurance.
- Drive lawfully and safely.
- Treat customers, parcels, and other road users with respect.
- Not refuse trips based on race, religion, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Report incidents, accidents, and lost items promptly to your Operator and to Moovfast.
7. Customer obligations
- Provide accurate pickup and drop-off information.
- Pay agreed fares in full and on time.
- Not request the transport of unlawful, hazardous, or prohibited items.
- Treat riders with respect.
8. Fees and settlement
Operators pay a subscription fee to use the platform, plus a commission on marketplace trips (trips that arrive via the cross-company marketplace rather than the Operator's own app). Fees and commissions are published in the Operator dashboard and may be updated with thirty days' notice. Customer payments are collected through the platform's payment partners and remitted to Operators on the settlement schedule shown in the dashboard.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Each Operator publishes its own cancellation and refund policy in their app. Moovfast does not adjudicate refund disputes between Operators and Customers; we provide the trip record and payment trail as evidence on request.
10. Prohibited use
You may not: reverse-engineer the platform; scrape data outside our public APIs; impersonate another user; use the platform to launder money, evade tax, or commit fraud; transport persons or goods in violation of law; or interfere with the platform's security or availability.
11. Intellectual property
All Moovfast software, branding, and content — except content uploaded by Operators, Riders, and Customers — is the property of Moovfast Technologies. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you upload but grant Moovfast a worldwide licence to host, display, and process it as needed to run the service.
12. Disclaimers
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". Moovfast does not warrant that trips will be completed, that riders will arrive on time, or that the platform will be uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
13. Limitation of liability
Moovfast's total liability to any user for any claim arising from these Terms or the platform is capped at the greater of (a) the fees paid by that user to Moovfast in the three months immediately before the claim, or (b) ten thousand Naira. Moovfast is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Moovfast harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of law, or your interactions with other users.
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the settings screen. Moovfast may suspend or terminate any account for breach of these Terms, regulatory reasons, or risk to the safety or integrity of the platform. Surviving clauses (payment, indemnity, liability, governing law, dispute resolution) remain in force after termination.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
17. Disputes
We try to resolve disputes informally first — write to legal@moovfast.com. If we cannot reach agreement within sixty days, the dispute is finally settled by arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
18. Changes
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes are notified in-app and by email at least fourteen days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms.
